Cronin Electrical Proud to Support DIY SOS Ireland in Special Kildare Build
DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland has long been known for bringing communities together to support families facing incredibly difficult circumstances, and Cronin Electrical are delighted to be part of such a meaningful project.
Hosted by Baz Ashmawy on RTÉ One, the programme sees tradespeople, suppliers, and volunteers come together to rebuild and renovate homes for families who need support most.
We are honoured to be involved in the Kildare build supporting Ramona Connolly and her five-year-old son, Oran, following the sudden passing of her husband, Daragh, in December 2025. Daragh had poured his heart and soul into creating their forever home, but after his passing, the family were left unable to complete the project.
Witnessing the community unite to help finish this home has been truly inspiring for everyone involved. The generosity, teamwork, and compassion shown throughout the build reflect the very best of what can be achieved when people come together for a common purpose.
We are especially proud that our very own Lucia Duarte represented Cronin Electrical on the show. Lucia began her electrical apprenticeship with us and has become a fantastic example of the growing importance of female apprenticeships within the electrical industry in Ireland.
Supporting and encouraging more women into the trades is something we are deeply passionate about, and we are delighted to see Lucia involved in such a worthwhile and high-profile community project.
A huge thank you to the entire team behind DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland for having us on board. It has been a privilege to contribute to such a special build and to work alongside so many dedicated volunteers and professionals.
Be sure to tune in later this summer on RTÉ One to see the incredible transformation and the inspiring story behind this unforgettable project.
